At Moderation, we are focussed on building tools that empower you with your health and fitness goals, but not at the cost of your privacy. In fact, we actively design our services around trying to store and collect as little information about you as possible.
We only collect and retain information that is absolutely necessary for us to provide you with our service, and whenever possible we disassociate any personally identifiable information from the data we retain.
Information you provide, such as logging a Healthy breakfast, is only ever stored on your device. We do not send or synchronize this raw data across the internet, or store it on any servers.
If you email us for assistance or to give us feedback, your email address and your conversations are stored within our email system. This helps us identify common support queries, and also provide you with a better service should you email us again in the future.
At your request, we will gladly delete all email data relating to you. We will never share any of our correspondence unless forced to do so, as detailed in the section 'Disclosure Of Your Information'.
Beyond what has been outlined above, some anonymous usage data may be recorded. None of this data can be directly linked to you, or reveal anything you record with Moderation in any identifiable way.
We may collect aggregated information such as the number of meals logged, or overall healthiness score, to better understand our customers and feature usage, so we can make improvements to our service.
Our server software also stores basic technical information, such as your IP address, whenever you access the website.
Although our default stance is to avoid disclosing any information you provide with anybody else, we may disclose information as required by law, in the event of a merger or acquisition, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety, or the safety of others.
We use the following third party services to understand how our service is being used to help us make improvements.
If you have any further questions about how Moderation collects, stores and manages your data, then please get in touch at email@example.com
